Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman has admitted that he is not sure about the sort of reception that he will receive when he returns to Ashton Gate for the first time tomorrow, reports the Brent and Kilburn Times.

Luke Freeman left Bristol City in January to join Ian Holloway's Queens Park Rangers and he returns to his old ground for the first time since his departure when the two sides meet on Good Friday.

The game holds more importance for Freeman's former club Bristol City, who are still in a relegation battle with just four points separating them from the drop zone.

The 25-year-old revealed that he had fond memories of his time with the Robins, such as the League One promotion and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley but added that he felt it was time he moved on.

Freeman was keen to take the onus off himself too and added that he would have to deal with the reception and get the job done for QPR.

When asked about the reception, Freeman told QPR's official website - reported via the Brent and Kilburn Times:

“I’m not too sure, no.

"I’ll have to deal with that on the day but the main thing is preparing right this week and getting three points away from home.

“I had promotion from League One to the Championship and the JPT final at Wembley so I had some great memories down there but in football some things need to be done and I felt it was time for me to move on.

“We’re going in with a positive mindset, we’ll do our homework on and off the pitch and we’re looking forward to the game.”
