QPR's versatile defender Ryan Manning has stated that next week's fixture against Brentford is a 'massive' game.

Manning has been in superb form for the R's this season, as he's played in a different type of position under Mark Warburton.

He's become a wing-back under the manager, and has thrived in that position using his pace and left-foot to good use. It has even sparked speculation of a Premier League move for the 23-year-old.

It's a big moment in the season for QPR and they have a massive clash on Monday night against an in-form Brentford side. Manning has expressed how he's expecting a tense game.

Speaking to QPR's official club website, Manning said: “Next week is a massive game and everyone knows we will be expecting a tense game with a good atmosphere, with everyone up for it.

“As long as we can get together over the weekend, put together a good game plan and deliver a better performance then hopefully we can pick up the important three points.

“Every game is tough and it is tough trying to grind out points but that’s the story of the Championship. It is relentless. It’s hectic but you have to keep trying to perform every week in order to head up in the right direction."

The Verdict

QPR have had a really good start to the season, and it's been somewhat unexpected due to the way they finished the last one.

The R's have been brilliant going forward and have some terrific youngsters in Eberechi Eze and Ilias Chair who have been running the midfield and starting a number of attacks for Mark Warburton's side.

QPR do have one thing that they have to improve on and that's their defensive structure and organisation. They have failed to keep a clean sheet all season, and now have to work on certain aspects of their game if they're to stay in the top six and mount a serious challenge on a place in the Premier league.
