QPR earned themselves another home win this weekend just gone as they beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0.

The men from Loftus Road have had an interesting campaign this season where they have largely stayed away from both the top end and bottom end of the table.

They look firmly set for a mid-table finish now, then, but there might still be time for a late, late play-off surge.

Of course, that is unlikely and it would take a huge effort but Joel Lynch isn't ruling it out just yet, though he is well aware of how tough it will be.

When asked about the top six, he said - as quoted by Get West London:

"I think we're in a weird position, as we don't really see ourselves being dragged into the bottom lot.

"It's tough for us to push on - to get into the play-offs would be really tough and we would need to win a big percentage of our remaining games."

QPR really would have to get on a hot-streak but stranger things have certainly happened and so let's see exactly what goes on at Loftus Road in the coming weeks.

The Verdict

It is hard to make a case for the R's to get into the top six.

In all fairness, though, they look safe from the drop and so they can play freely which might just allow them to put on a late surge.
