Queens Park Rangers have fallen some way since their spending spree heights of five years ago; bringing in the likes of Loic Remy and Christopher Samba to Loftus Road.
After the trouble with high wages and poor performances, QPR were forced to alter their approach to success on the pitch and decided to go the route of finding lower-league talent and nourishing them to become top talent.
Although this season has proved that hasn’t worked either, with former manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink bringing in the likes of Conor Washington from Peterborough United and Burton Albion’s Abdenasser El Khayati.
Both have found life in the Championship a little difficult and perhaps it’s time for QPR chairman Tony Fernandes to change his approach again.
