QPR have announced that an agreement has been made with the EFL over the ongoing FFP dispute that will hopefully come as some closure to R's fans.

The saga has been running on for some time now and it is clear that it has impeded the R's ability to spend money in recent windows.

We've seen this summer that they've not been able to bring in the players they'd obviously like to and instead a youthful squad will take on the Championship.

Things, though, are at least clearing up with the club agreeing to pay a £17m fine, give the EFL £3m and see the club's shareholders capitalise £21.965m of outstanding loans.

As well as that, the club has accepted a transfer embargo that will be in place for the January 2019 window later this season.

The Verdict

There's obviously some large sums of money to be paid but at least this dispute has at last been resolved and the club can look to move on.

Things will remain stringent at the club for the time being and they won't be able to add in January but at least they now know exactly where they stand after such a drawn-out process.
