Queens Park Rangers are set to continue talks with Moses Odubajo, Charlie Owens, Yoann Barbet, Olamide Shodipo and Albert Adomah about their futures at the club.

As confirmed by the club's official website, these five players will have discussions with QPR's hierarchy ahead of the summer transfer window.

The R's currently possess the option to trigger a clause in the contracts of Shodipo and Odubajo which will keep this duo at the club for another 12 months.

As for Barbet, Owens and Adomah, these three players will all become free-agents in June if a breakthrough in a negotiations fails to materialise.

Barbet, who has featured on 44 occasions for QPR this season, has produced a host of assured displays for the club in the Championship and thus he may not be short of offers from elsewhere if he ends up moving on to pastures new.

Meanwhile, Adomah has shown glimpses of his talent at this level for the R's.

In the 32 league games that he has participated in during the current campaign, the 34-year-old has provided five direct goal contributions.

The R's will be hoping to end the term on a positive note tomorrow by securing victory in their showdown with Swansea City.

QPR could secure a 10th place in the Championship if they beat the Jacks and Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion slip up in their clashes with Stoke City and Barnsley.

The Verdict

Whereas it is safe to say that QPR will be keen to keep Barbet at the club due to the fact that he is currently averaging a relatively impressive WhoScored match rating of 6.90 in the second-tier, it wouldn't be at all surprising if they eventually opt to part ways with Shodipo and Owens.

Owens hasn't made a senior appearance for QPR since the 2019/20 campaign due to an issue with his knee and thus may struggle to make inroads on the club's starting eleven next season due to his recent inactivity.

As for Shodipo, he has only managed to score once for Sheffield Wednesday during his current loan spell at Hillsborough despite making 21 appearances in all competitions.

Odubajo and Adomah may have to wait to learn about the futures at the club as the R's are currently looking to draft in a replacement for manager Mark Warburton who is set to leave upon the expiry of his contract.
