Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho will allow Troy Parrott to go out on-loan this month.

The 17-year-old has two first-team appearances to his name for club, and one for country. The Republic of Ireland forward is one of the most exciting prospects in England and one who Spurs have high hopes for in the future.

Today though, Football Insider has reported that QPR have approached the club regarding a loan-deal for Parrott.

They join Charlton Athletic in the race to land the Irishman until the end of the season, and he'd be the third Spurs player to go on-loan to QPR this season - Luke Amos joined in the summer on a season-long loan, whilst Jack Clarke completed the move earlier in the month.

Mourinho believes that Parrott is not yet ready for the challenge of first-team football at Tottenham. He's been a prolific member of Tottenham's youth sides leading all the way up the development side, before he made his first-team debut in September last year in the Carabao Cup.

He's a pacey forward with an eye for goal, and QPR will need just that after Nahki Wells was today recalled by Burnley - Sean Dyche has brought the 29-year-old back to Turf Moor as it looks increasingly likely that Bristol City will make the permanent signing of the forward.

The verdict

QPR boss Mark Warburton will be gutted about losing his top-scorer, and he'll have to move quickly to find a suitable replacement. They seem to be making a connection with Spurs and Parrot could well be another of their players who comes in on-loan.

He's as yet unproven but the early signs are promising - it'd no doubt be a risk for QPR, but they've little to lose as the transfer window nears it's conclusion.
