Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing England international striker Peter Crouch, according to the Daily Mail.

The 34-year-old has found it tough to break into a Stoke side who have enjoyed real success this season under Mark Hughes, and he may feel a move will benefit him as he enters the final years of his long successful career.

The former Tottenham, Liverpool and Southampton man has previously had a spell at QPR back in 2000, before he moved on to Portsmouth.

He has always boasted an impressive goal record wherever he has been, including for England, where he has notched 22 goals in his 42 caps, an impressive stat in anyones book.

QPR are looking to replace Charlie Austin, and reports yesterday surfaced they were set to complete the signing of Connor Washington from Peterborough.

The addition of Crouch along with Washington would be a big statement from Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink and would go a long way to replacing the goals Austin can no longer provide.

Crouch himself may be keen to test himself down in the Championship. Although he is reaching the twilight of his career, the quality is still there for everybody to see, and he scored in the FA Cup win at Doncaster only 2 weeks ago.

QPR fans, have your say. Would you welcome Crouch back with open arms? What do you think him and Washington would bring to the team? Let us know using the comments box below!
