Queens Park Rangers could be gearing up for a busy summer in the transfer market.

It's been a really encouraging season for Mark Warburton's side with the Hoops pushing themselves firmly into the top half of the table and just short of the play-off spots.

With that in mind next term could be really important as the club look towards challenging for promotion, and with that in mind they're already looking at potential new addtions.

Reports from West London Sport have claimed that QPR have taken Sean Adarkwa on trial.

The West Ham United starlet has attracted plenty of attention after putting in some excellent displays for the club's under-23 side this season.

Adarkwa is coming to the end of his contract at the London Stadium and with no offer of a new deal on the table it seems that he's weighing up his options with a view to a summer move.

The 20-year-old has been regularly used as a winger during his development in East London but has recently switched to the role of centre-forward.

QPR handed an opportunity to Adarkwa in their under-23 clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday with the player keen to impress as he looks to earn a contract at the club.

The verdict

This could be a shrewd move for Queens Park Rangers.

Mark Warburton is a big advocate of handing opportunities to young players after leaving clubs in the Premier League and Sean Adarkwa is no different.

If he can impress during his trial period then there's no doubt that he could have a bright future in W12 with the Hoops.
