QPR are now six games without a win following their 1-1 draw at Sunderland on Saturday. The R's are also yet to win away from home this season. However, midfielder Josh Scowen is confident those unwanted runs will end soon given the performances that the team have put in.

The 24-year old has been an astute signing by Ian Holloway, joining on a free from Barnsley and has formed a very good partnership in midfield with Massino Luongo and Luke Freeman. Despite their positive contributions, wins have been hard to come by in recent weeks, but Scowen thinks it's a matter of finding the net regularly.

There have been a lot of positives in the recent games, but the one major frustration is that we've not taken our chances. For one reason or another, it's not happening for us at the moment. We're getting into the right positions and I'm sure if we keep doing that, we'll get the rub of the green and the goals will come,” he told the official site.

Scowen also predicted that his teammates could land a big win soon if everything clicks. “There's nothing to be too downbeat about. I think the supporters can see what we're trying to do – and I'm confident we'll give someone a real going over soon.”

The Verdict

It's important to remain positive when you are suffering results wise, and Scowen clearly is. He is right in that the team have been playing well recently, even if he may be going over the top by suggesting someone is due a thrashing. However, QPR fans will like the attitude he has but now it's time to back it up out on the pitch – where it matters.
