QPR were condemned to their second defeat of the week on Saturday afternoon as Leeds United ran out 2-0 winners against Mark Warburton's side at Elland Road.

The West London outfit were looking to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to Brentford in the West London derby on Monday night, but goals from Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison meant QPR travelled back to the capital empty-handed.

QPR's defence came under some criticism during the Brentford defeat, but Toni Leistner kept his place alongside Grant Hall in the starting line-up for the trip up north with Yoann Barbet still absent with an injury.

However, Leistner was unable to finish the match as he was forced off with an injury in the 54th minute, with Todd Kane replacing him, and the German has now

Leistner, who was making his 10th consecutive start for the club, revealed his disappointment at both the result and his injury in what was a difficult week for the Rs who had previously started the season well.

The Verdict

Leistner may have not looked at his best in recent matches, but this injury will still come as a blow to the Rs, who are also missing another centre-back to injury in Barbet.

The extent of Leistner's injury still remains unclear, but the fact the defender has referred to the issue on his social media accounts suggests he faces a lay-off, with this potentially leaving Warburton short of defensive options.

The injury caps off a disappointing week for Warburton's side, as their positive early-season progress was stalled by both Brentford and Leeds, and they will now need to pick themselves up when they host Middlesbrough next weekend.
