Joel Lynch has praised his manager, Ian Holloway, for his role in turning Queens Park Rangers’ fortunes around, reports Get West London.

Holloway took charge at Loftus Road in early November, following an inconsistent start to the 2016/17 season under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Despite the Hoops winning in Holloway’s first game in-charge, they went onto lose six successive matches, leaving the club just outside the relegation zone in late December.

The start of 2017 saw more inconsistency, but with eight fixtures of the season remaining, QPR are now the form team in the Sky Bet Championship, having won five from their last seven.

Lynch, who has featured predominantly in the club’s impressive run, praised Holloway for the job he has done since returning to Loftus Road, he said: “I think he's times 10 in person. That's the way he is. His emotion and passion is starting to rub off.

“He's changed the club and people are starting to be more positive about QPR. He gets us laughing a lot.

“He's got so much energy, he scares me. It's positive for everyone.”

QPR’s last league game saw them run out convincing 5-1 winners over bottom of the table Rotherham Untied, a result which has left Holloway’s side a comfortable distance away from the relegation zone.

Holloway will be hopeful his side can continue their fine form this coming weekend, when they travel to Derby County on Friday evening.
