QPR defender, Alex Baptiste could be set for a temporary departure from Loftus Road with Luton Town emerging as one of the club's interested in signing him on loan according to West London Sport.

The defender has fallen down the pecking order in Steve McClaren's side this season, and has been limited to just four Championship appearances.

Bare in mind that Baptiste's last outing in the league was in September, it's clear to see that he doesn't have much of a future at the club.

He has been sidelined through injury recently, but his timely return to the squad could lead to him heading out on loan before the transfer window closes.

The 32-year-old is also out of contract in the summer, and if he is to make a good impression at Luton, then he could be in line for a permanent move to the League One side.

If he did move to Luton, then he would be joining a side that have been in an impressive run of form that has seen them challenging for the League One title this season.

Baptiste will surely be wanting to get regular playing time under his belt for the remainder of this year's campaign, and if he joined the Hatters, he could play a starring role in a potential promotion to the Championship.

The Verdict:

This would be a fantastic addition to the Luton squad.

They could do with an experienced head in defence and Baptiste can certainly provide them with that this season as they challenge for promotion this season.

It would be a real coup for the Hatters.
