Queens Park Rangers have had a third bid worth £600,000 for Ipswich Town’s Alan Judge rejected by the League One outfit.

Mark Warburton has been desperate to bring the playmaker to Loftus Road having previously worked with the Ireland international whilst at Brentford.

However, the Tractor Boys have no intention of losing the 30-year-old on the cheap and they have managed to stand firm so far.

It was reported last week that a second offer of £450,000 was turned down by the Suffolk outfit, even though Judge is keen on moving back to the Championship.

And, Football Insider have revealed that the Londoners went in with an improved bid of £600,000 for the attacking midfielder but it has once again been knocked back.

The report also states that QPR will now pursue other deals before the transfer deadline as they feel an agreement with Ipswich won’t be agreed.

Warburton is seeking extra creativity in the final third after classy playmaker Luke Freeman left for Sheffield United at the start of the month.

The Verdict

This is a blow for QPR as the manager is clearly a massive fan of Judge and you can understand why as he is a classy player.

But, Ipswich recognise just how important he is to their promotion hopes next season so they are right to resist the bids that have been on the table.

Even though the report states QPR have ended their interest, it still wouldn’t be a surprise to see this go through as things can change very quickly in football.

That could be by Judge forcing a move or the R’s returning with a bigger bid as the deadline approaches. So, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
