Queens Park Rangers are enjoying quite a 2021 so far.
The Hoops endured a disappointing first half to the season after struggling to adapt to life without Eberechi Eze who left the club for Crystal Palace last summer.
A lack of consistency saw Mark Warburton’s side struggling perilously close to the relegation zone, but since the turn of the year things have improved significantly.
Four wins in a row – and six wins from their last seven fixtures – have seen QPR move themselves up the table with the hope of continuing their much-improved form during the rest of the campaign.
Here’s the latest news to come from West London club.
Jordy de Wijs
Queens Park Rangers will welcome Jordy de Wijs back to action on Tuesday afternoon.
The defender has been out of action with a calf injury that he picked up while with Hull City, meaning that he’s yet to make an appearance for the Hoops since completing a move in January.
While a first team return is not yet on the cards, West London Sport have revealed that he’s set to feature for the under-23s in their clash with Ipswich Town.
It’s thought that he’s set to play around 60 minutes of the game as he looks to get some valuable match action under his belt.

Two former Queens Park Rangers men are set to be reunited after being appointed in key roles in the EFL.
Joey Barton was appointed as first team manager of Bristol Rovers on Monday after signing a three-year contract.
It’s his first role since leaving his position at Fleetwood Town earlier in the season.
Barton won’t be alone in the dugout however with the news that QPR favourite Clint Hill will join his backroom staff at the League One club.
Hill worked with Barton at Fleetwood with the pair set to continue their working relationship at the Memorial Stadium.
