With nothing much to play for other than pride now, Queens Park Rangers will already be thinking ahead to the summer and considering possible transfer deals.

Some major names are expected to depart, such as Nedum Onuoha, James Perch and Jack Robinson, which will free up some space for Ian Holloway to bolster his squad.

After another season of mediocrity and a lower mid-table finish looking an inevitability, QPR fans will be hoping for a better campaign in 2018/19, where a possible promotion push could be on the cards if their summer recruitment is spot on.

The QPR scouts should now be travelling up and down the country, watching matches and trying to find possible stars for next season.

There are very few players who have a nailed on place in the starting line-up so QPR scouts will be looking at all positions.

Here are four players who QPR should definitely be scouting before the end of the season ahead of a potential summer move.

Bradley Dack won the League One Player of the Year at the EFL awards and he is definitely going to make the step up to play Championship football next term.

If Blackburn fail to win promotion, and even if they do, QPR should launch a swoop for Dack to improve their creative midfield options.

The 24-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder or even as a striker and his tally of 16 goals and 8 assists in the third tier is a sign that he would excel at Loftus Road.

Another exciting League One attacking midfielder for QPR to pursue is Marcus Maddison.

The Peterborough winger has a delightful left foot and he has racked up a total of 10 goals and an astonishing 21 assists this season.

Posh will be reluctant to let the 24-year-old leave but if they fail to win promotion then he will surely depart.

QPR should also consider a move for Maddison's team mate at Peterborough, Jack Marriott.

Marriott leads the way with goals in League One this season and his tally of 26 is five clear of the second top scorer Brett Pitman.

The 23-year-old has over 30 goals in all competitions this season and he is another Posh player destined for the Championship next term - with or without them.

QPR could also look to sign West Ham United flop Jordan Hugill after he has failed to make an impact at The London Stadium.

The 25-year-old made his move on deadline day but he has hardly featured for the Irons and his only goal came in a friendly against Dagenham and Redbridge.

QPR should keep their tabs on the former Preston North End man and his energy and work ethic up front would add plenty to Holloway's attacking options.
