The deal for Sandro to leave QPR for Sporting Lisbon has stalled after the Brazilian midfielder failed his medical, according to the Express and Star.
Sandro had agreed a two-year deal to move to the Portuguese capital after QPR accepted a cut-price deal of £1.5 million.
The medical in Portugal last week indicated that Sandro had a problem with his knee that saw the procedure collapse.
The midfielder was loaned out to West Brom in the second half of last season, but knee problems only saw him start five games during his 6-month stint.
QPR boss, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been trying to offload Sandro due his extortionate £50,000 a week wages.
Sandro has one year left on his contract and whether Sporting Lisbon continue their pursuit of the Brazilian midfielder remains up in the air.
The QPR midfielder will remain at Loftus Road for the moment, but is expected to be pushed out of the club by the time the new campaign begins.
