Queens Park Rangers' Sean Goss is set to leave the club, with Shrewsbury one of many sides keen on doing a deal for the midfielder.

The 23-year-old has failed to establish himself as a regular at Loftus Road since arriving and has been on loan to Rangers and St. Johnstone in the past.

A change of manager with the R's hasn't done anything to help Goss' chances either though, with West London Sport revealing that Mark Warburton is prepared to let the Manchester United academy graduate leave on a free transfer.

He made his decision shortly after taking over and as a result Goss was barely involved in pre-season as he searches for a new club.

And, the report states that he could finally get his move, with Shrewsbury having opened talks with the Championship club about a deal for the player, although there is still competition for his signature.

With the left-footer only having a year left on his deal, combined with the fact he isn't needed, QPR are willing to let him depart on a free.

The Verdict

This would be a good move for all concerned as Goss clearly hasn't got a future at Loftus Road and he needs to find a new club as soon as possible.

The chance to move to Sam Ricketts' side in League One should appeal as they are a club on the up and he would get a chance to play regularly.

Obviously, there's not going to be an issue with the fee and it's simply about agreeing personal terms, so you could see this happening pretty quickly.
