Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton has spoke about Brentford ahead of their clash in the Championship tonight, and is very wary of the threat they pose.

Brentford make the five-mile journey across West London tonight to face QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

The Bees go into the game on the back of two good wins in the Championship which took them up to 12th before the weekend’s fixtures - a dramatic comeback win against Millwall and a fine 3-0 win at Swansea City last week.

Mark Warburton spoke to his club’s official website over the weekend, and outlined the threat that Brentford pose:

“It will be a very confident Brentford side, it’ll be a very good footballing side that comes to the stadium on Monday night” said the 57-year-old.

“We know the threat they pose, the likes of (Ollie) Watkins, (Said) Benrahma and their midfield strength. They move the ball quickly, and their centre-halves are strong.

“They’ll come here full of confidence, but we’re in the top-six. We’re there because we deserve to be and our players should be full of self-belief and confidence.

“No doubt it’ll be a tough test but you’ve got to look forward to these games.”

After enduring a dismal start to the campaign, Thomas Frank’s Brentford are now brimming with confidence.

The final stages of the game against Millwall were some of the most dramatic a Brentford fan will have ever seen, and the win in South Wales was their best of the season so far.

They’ll pose a huge threat to QPR tonight, who are the only team in the Championship yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

The verdict

The West London derby tonight is bound to be one of the most exciting in recent seasons.

QPR go into the game as favourites, with six wins in their last nine Championship outings and the opportunity to go 2nd in the table with a win tonight.

Brentford though can return to their mid-table perch with a win tonight, and will be going out in full-force tonight as they look for an upset in W12.
