According to West London Sport, QPR are looking at Scottish side Rangers' young forward Ryan Hardie.

The men from Loftus Road have had a steady season so far with them often struggling away from home despite their home form being pretty strong.

Last weekend saw them win an away game at Birmingham, though, and so that should give them confidence heading into the New Year.

Even so, they'll be looking to strengthen where they can in January and it would seem that Ian Holloway has identified the Scotland U-21 striker as a potential recruit.

For sure, one thing that QPR have really lacked this season is a consistent goal-scorer up top with 'Ollie' chopping and changing pretty often.

Hardie might be part of the answer, then, but he is only young and hasn't really played much football for the Gers so the jury will be out on him to start with at least.

He has spent decent loan spells with St. Mirren and Raith Rovers during his career so far, though, and so maybe that'll be enough for the R's to go in for him.

Time, clearly, will only tell with this one.

The Verdict

QPR could be a team to watch if they were more consistent but at the moment they are not.

They'll be looking to add in January, then, but FFP might mean that they can only get young players like Hardie in.
