QPR remain looking for a new manager after sacking Steve McClaren earlier this week but it seems safe to assume Lee Bowyer might well not be going there from Charlton.

Despite all the off-field dramas that continue to accompany the Addicks at the moment, it is clear that Bowyer has done a wonderful job on the pitch and they look assured of a League One play-off spot.

Certainly, he's done a fine job and Sky Sports have suggested that he would be keen on the role - with the R's also though to be impressed with his ability to work on a tight budget.

Bowyer, though, has addressed such speculation this morning in his press conference and it seems as though he has distanced himself from the vacancy.

As quoted by the official Addicks' Twitter feed, he had this to say:

The Verdict

Smoke and mirrors? Maybe. He's not going to sit down and open with 'I'm off to QPR, lads' - is he?

To be fair, it does seem as though he is focused on the Charlton job more than ever at the moment, and so until he does leave - if he does - the Addicks should be confident form will remain unimpaired.
