QPR injury update revealed for Preston clash

Published

on

QPR have received a mixed bag of injury news ahead of their clash with Preston North End this weekend.

The R’s are looking to finish strongly this season in the second tier but it’s certainly going to be hard to predict whether they’re going to do that when you take a look at their last few games.

One things for sure, though, goals are guaranteed and that could be certainly aided – from a negative point of view if you’re an R’s fan – by injuries to Joel Lynch and Nedum Onuoha.

As per West London Sport, the two centre halves are set to be missing from the squad against the men from Deepdale and it looks as though the R’s will have to shuffle the pack.

On the upside, though, Massimo Luongo is back in contention to play and that will at least add some extra quality to the midfield.

The Verdict

QPR have nothing to play for this season so the injuries won’t cause them much harm.

They’d still like to finish strongly, though, and without two of their key defenders that might be a bit harder than otherwise.

Luongo’s return is a welcome bonus, though, and if he plays he’ll surely have a positive impact.
