#AskOllie did the rounds on Twitter again today, and the former Queens Park Rangers player and manager Ian Holloway spoke about his playing days with club legends Les Ferdinand and Ray Wilkins.

Ian Holloway had two separate stints as QPR manager, between 2001 and 2006, and 2016 to 2018.

He’s a legend at the club as both a manager and a player though - he played over 150 games for the West Londoners between 1991 and 1996, and is still loved today for his off-pitch antics and rants.

In a regular Twitter series called #AskOllie, Holloway answers Twitter's questions. Today, one fan asked him who the best player he ever played alongside was, and Ollie replied with:

Holloway was a key figure for Gerry Francis’ QPR in the 90's. He missed only four games for the club during his five-year spell, and played alongside some club legends during better times for QPR.

He partnered the late Ray Wilkins in midfield for QPR for a few seasons before Wilkins moved on to Crystal Palace, and shared the pitch with Les Ferdinand before he moved on to Newcastle United and Spurs.

The trio played over 500 games for QPR between them, and are remembered by fans as three of the best.

The verdict

Holloway is a decorated player and manager and has undoubtedly worked with some great footballing minds and talents in his career.

Wilkins and Ferdinand are two Hoops legends and were part of one of the best QPR teams in recent history with Ollie.
