QPR playmaker Ebere Eze has shared a touching exchange with teammate Angel Rangel on Twitter, with the Spaniard describing him as an "inspiration for any young lad coming through the ranks chasing the dream".

A product of the R's academy, Eze has developed into one of the most exciting young players in the Championship and a star performer for Mark Warburton's side.

The attacking midfielder has started every Championship game this season, scoring 12 times and providing eight assists.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a Premier League move in the summer, with Tottenham Hotspur, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace all having reportedly shown an interest this term.

For the time being, he remains a QPR player and over the weekend he spoke to some of the young players coming through the west London club's academy to offer them advice.

His efforts appear to have caught the attention of Rangel, who took to Twitter to heap praise on Eze.

The R's playmaker was quick to respond to show his appreciation to the Spaniard.

Both Eze and Rangel will likely be hoping they get the chance to get back on the pitch and continue the R's play-off push.

Warburton's men are 13th in the Championship but sit just six points back from the top six with nine games remaining – a gap they will feel they have a good chance of closing.

Have these 15 current QPR players been capped at senior international level? – Yes or no? Have a go now!

The Verdict

QPR fans will surely love this exchange between Eze and Rangel, particularly the high praise that the Spaniard has heaped on his teammate.

We've seen from his performances on the pitch just how exciting a prospect the 21-year-old is but the description of his character proves that he is a fantastic asset to the club.

It is going to be very interesting to see how the summer pans out for Eze and QPR.
