Mark Warburton has made a fine start to life at the QPR helm with his side having won six of their opening 11 Championship matches this term.

The Rs are currently sitting ninth in the Championship following a solid start to the season which also saw them embark on a four-game winning run extending across August and September.

Much of QPR's success so far this term can be owed to the newly-formed striker partnership between Jordan Hugill and Nahki Wells, with the duo having now scored 12 league goals between them this term.

These goals make up two thirds of QPR's overall goal tally since the start of the season with the two players, who are on loan from West Ham and Burnley respectively, having made an enormous impact at the club.

Wells also spent last season on loan at the West London outfit and while he made a solid impression with his nine goals during their relegation-threatened campaign, he has excelled even further this time around.

The striker has now handed his side a further boost by admitting he would "love" to sign a permanent deal with the Rs if it became a possibility in the future. Speaking in a Q&A session on QPR's Instagram account, Wells that he would have no hesitation in leaving Burnley to join Warburton's side permanently, as he is loving his time with the London side.

This news will inevitably come as an enormous boost to QPR fans, as Wells has established himself as a real fans' favourite during the time he has spent at the club over the last two seasons.

The club's supporters have also seen the best of the 29-year-old this season as he is operating in a system that suits him well, and alongside a striker partner who has clearly helped him take his game to the next level.

The fact Wells is clearly keen on sealing a permanent move means there does not appear to be any reason why this cannot get sealed, as QPR would surely love to keep him while Burnley would have little issue in letting him go.

This means Wells could go on to be a vital figure at the club over the coming years, as he is now entering the prime years of his career at a club where he feels comfortable in expressing himself on the pitch while performing to a high level.

Wells' eagerness to stay with the Rs also reflects how the club is now a desirable location for players, particularly following Warburton's arrival. It would be a real sign of QPR's progress if they are able to sign Wells, and maybe even Hugill, on permanent deals in January or at the end of the season.
