QPR fail in double deadline day swoop for teenage starlets

Queens Park Rangers failed to bring in two young targets Adam Armstrong and Roli Pereira on deadline day, according to West London Sport.
The R’s made enquiries about 19-year-old Armstrong, however parent club Newcastle United said that they were unwilling to loan Armstrong to Loftus Road, as they see Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s men as promotion rivals.
The Tyneside-born young striker now finds himself playing at Paul Heckingbottom’s Barnsley on loan, despite penning a new four-year contract at St. James’ Park earlier this week.
Hasselbaink was also interested in bringing in Paris Saint Germain’s Pereira, but were unable to reach an agreement to sign the 19-year-old.
Pereira is yet to make a first-team appearance for PSG but played 14 times for Ligue 2 side Paris FC last season.
This is a big blow for Hasselbaink’s men, who have brought in 9 new faces at the close of this summer’s transfer window.
So…what do you think QPR fans? Would you have liked to seen Armstrong and Pereira join the R’s? Do you really need them? Who else would you have liked Hasselbaink to sign? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
