QPR will be looking to make some signings this summer where they can, as Mark Warburton's era in charge gets underway.

The former Rangers and Brentford boss will be eager to try and get the R's challenging up at the right end of the league but he is going to have to box clever in the transfer market.

He's looking to use his contacts by the sound of things, then, with the Scottish Sun reporting that he is trying to bring in Lee Wallace on a free.

Wallace and Warburton worked together at Ibrox and he would bring an extra air of experience and cover to the R's side for the new season.

In other news from the same report, he is also looking at goalkeeper Liam Kelly who could leave Livingston for as little as £500,000 this summer thanks to a clause in his contract.

The Verdict

As mentioned, Mark Warburton is going to have to be clever with the signings he makes as he simply has not got the budget he might have at other clubs in the Championship.

The R's have a bit of cash, but Warburton will largely have to look at snips like this pair and hope that they can do the job he needs from them.
