Queens Park Rangers have been dealt with an injury blow ahead of their home clash against Middlesbrough this weekend, with the news that defender Angel Rangel and midfielder Geoff Cameron are set to miss out, according to reports from West London Sport.

The latter was taken off at half-time against Leeds in the R's' 2-1 defeat at Elland Road, after sustaining an ankle injury on the end of a robust challenge with Kalvin Phillips.

Rangel was also taken off in the clash at Elland Road - Steve McClaren's men were left to play the final few minutes of the game with 10 men having made all three substitutions, after the Spaniard came off with a muscle injury.

The 36-year-old has been in impressive form of late - netting two goals and two assists from right-back, and his absence will be a blow as the Hoops look to kick on from their 14th position in the Championship table.

After four games without a win, the R's will be looking to get back to winning ways against the Potters this weekend.

The Verdict

This could be a huge blow for QPR.

Rangel and Cameron are very important players in their own right, and if they are to miss out this Saturday then it could hamper their chances of picking up all three points.

McClaren's men need to get back to winning ways after two successive league defeats.
