Australian international Matthew Leckie has been linked with a move from Ingolstadt to Queens Park Rangers, according to West London Sport.
Following Matt Phillip’s departure to West Bromwich Albion and the likely departure of Junior Hoilett, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has identified that the wide positions need addressing.
Throughout the summer, Queens Park Rangers have been linked with a number of wingers, one of the main targets being Yeni Ngbakoto, however, it has now emerged that Matthew Leckie is a potential target.
The Australian winger who has played at a number of German clubs including Borussia Mönchengladbach, FSV Frankfurt and his current Bundesliga side Ingolstadt, however, he may be persuaded to make the switch to England.
With the versatility both out wide and as an unorthodox forward, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink may see him as a useful attacking option to have at his disposal.
It is yet to be seen how this interest will materialise but with Metz showing resilience to Ngbakoto at the club, Queens Park Rangers may instead turn their attention to Leckie.
