QPR are considering a move for Charlton striker Ademola Lookman as a replacement for Charlie Austin, according to the Sun (via South London Press).

Charlie Austin made the switch to Southampton last week for £4 million, and the Hoops have seemingly identified Lookman as their ideal replacement.

Lookman has been tracked by some of the best teams in England, including Arsenal and Tottenham,  after breaking into the Charlton side, and has shown that he has an incredibly bright future ahead.

The 19-year-old has netted three goals in nine appearances for the struggling Championship side, and is close to a return after being on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

QPR will use their funds from Austin to their advantage to lure Lookman away from the turmoil at the Valley.

The Addicks have suffered heavy defeats in their two previous games and look destined to be playing in League One next season.

QPR have also not enjoyed a successful campaign after being relegated from the Premier League last season and sit in 15th place – 11 points off the play-offs.

Lookman would be welcome addition to Hasselbaink’s squad, as they will look for an improved second half to their campaign.
