According to Football Insider, QPR are confident of securing a loan deal for Tottenham winger Jack Clarke because of their boss Mark Warburton.

The manager has a good history of developing youth players at the different clubs that he has worked at, and will be hoping to do the same by bringing Clarke to the club.

The winger has had a hugely unsuccessful loan spell at Leeds this season which wouldn't have helped his development one bit. He's now back at Spurs as they look to send him back to the Championship once again.

QPR have a good relationship with Tottenham's academy, and have taken Luke Amos on loan already this season. Whist manager of Rangers, Warburton also took players from Tottenham's youth system as he loaned in Dominic Ball and Nathan Oduwa.

It could be a big boost for QPR as it would be a signing that could provide much more width to their play when going forward.

The Verdict

It's set to be a key signing for the R's and one that could help them push for the play-off places as the season goes on.

They're not that far away from the top six, and a bit of quality could really help them get there as they currently are missing a bit of game management in the final stages.

Warburton has a very good connection with Tottenham so it wouldn't be surprising at all to see Clarke join the R's.
