The 2017/18 campaign was a strange one for Queens Park Rangers, who were firmly mid-table in the Sky Bet Championship.

Ian Holloway led QPR to 16th in the Championship table, with his side well clear of the relegation zone, but also not anywhere close to challenging for a place in the top-half of the table.

Despite a steady year in the Championship, QPR have opted for a chance ahead of next season, with Steve McClaren arriving at Loftus Road to take over as the club’s manager.

McClaren is an experienced coach, who in the Championship, has plenty of games under his belt.

The ex-England boss will be looking to reshape the squad he has inherited at Loftus Road, with the view of getting QPR challenging next season.

Here at FLW, we take a look at THREE signings QPR need to be making that will really kick-start their summer transfer window…

Reports have suggested that QPR have cooled their interest in McGeouch, but McClaren has been taking a close look.

It’d be a surprise to learn that QPR’s complete interest is over, and McClaren could well make another move if things change.

McGeouch could be a good place for QPR to start this summer.

Adding goals to QPR’s side this summer will need to be one of McClaren’s aims.

It remains to be seen if Martin has a role to play at Derby under Frank Lampard, and McClaren could well be keen on a reunion with the striker he worked with at Pride Park.

Ward is an experienced head, who has plenty of Championship nous.

He might not be an inspirational signing at Loftus Road, but he would add a lot to QPR’s squad.

McClaren could do far worse than targeting a deal for Ward this summer, as he looks to reshape.
