According to Alan Nixon on Twitter, QPR have now joined the likes of Crystal Palace in the race for Preston striker Jordan Hugill.

This is starting to become *the* story to follow in the Championship this Deadline Day with Hugill out of contract in the summer at Preston and evidently attracting interest from around the country.

Indeed, QPR are now keen for the player - as per Nixon:

Whether the Rs can get him, though, remains to be seen as, as well as Palace being keen, the Daily Mail has reported today that Leeds are still in the hunt alongside Reading for the Deepdale based striker.

It doesn't end there, either, with the Mail's transfer blog (2:09pm) reporting that West Ham are aiming to bring the player to the London Stadium on Deadline Day.

Perhaps, then, it would be easier to list the clubs that aren't interested in Hugill at the moment but it does make sense.

He's a man who scores plenty of goals and can work in both a pair of forwards or as a lone striker himself.

Preston are currently holding on for now, then, but this looks set to rumble on.

The Verdict

Jordan Hugill has some big calls to make.

Does he move to a Premier League side and risk not being able to cut it - though he probably could. Or, does he move to a fellow Championship side if he doesn't see his future at Preston?

It's going to be fun finding out.

Where should Hugill go? Let us know below!
