Alex Neil's comments about Wolves and how easily their players went down in Saturday's match that saw Preston hold the league leaders to a 1-1 draw have been controversial to say the least.

Speaking to the Express and Star, Neil said that Wolves' foreign players go down too easily and played more than their part in John Welsh being sent off for two yellow cards.

Wolves fans have been angered by the suggestion and the club's correspondent at the paper, Tim Spiers, has also had his say on the former Norwich boss's comments.

It is fair to say that Spiers does not agree with Neil's insinuations about Nuno Santo's players and was also keen to point out that Preston were not above bending the rules themselves.
