The Danny Cowley era at Portsmouth got off to the perfect start last weekend as his new side knocked off fellow play-off contenders Ipswich Town at Fratton Park.

Cowley and his brother Nicky only officially penned their contracts the day before the game last weekend, but they were thrust straight into action after just one training session with their new squad.

It looked like from early on that the poor results Pompey had been suffering may continue, with James Norwood opening the scoring for Paul Cook's side in the first half.

But Cowley got his charges firing just before half time as Tom Naylor equalised, and in the second half Marcus Harness fired home the winner to get the ex-Huddersfield boss off to the perfect start.

Pompey sit in ninth position before the 3pm kick-offs today, but there is just four points splitting Doncaster Rovers in fifth and Accrington Stanley in 12th place, so the teams that are going to qualify for the play-offs this season will need to go on a good run.

But there are also teams battling in the bottom half to get away from that relegation zone, and today's opponents Shrewsbury Town look to be pretty safe in 17th position but want a few more wins to make sure of it.

They are unbeaten in their last four outings so it won't be easy for Pompey, and Cowley has decided to ring the changes after getting a full week of training with his new squad.

John Marquis has recovered from an ankle injury whilst there's also returns for Callum Johnson, Ben Close and Michael Jacobs in what looks to be a 4-2-3-1 formation - let's look at what the Pompey fans think of the line-up.
