Full-back Eric Lichaj was the unlikely two-goal hero when Nottingham Forest stunned holders Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

The former Aston Villa defender netted the first two goals as Forest dominated Arsene Wenger's Gunners and won 4-2 to inflict the Frenchman's first ever FA Cup Third Round defeat.

The second strike was a stunning volley, as well hit as you could hope to see, and Lichaj revealed after the game that his wife had told him he could get a dog if he scored a hat trick this season.

That sparked an online campaign from Forest fans, to #GetEricADog and it looks as though it has worked as the defender has now got a dog and called it Gunner.

Forest fans are over the moon for the FA Cup hero and there was a staggering show of support for the fact that the online pressure had actually told.
