Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton has predicted that QPR will claim their first home win since October when they host Rotherham United at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium this evening.

The R's held Watford to a 1-1 draw in west London on the weekend but haven't claimed three points at home since their 3-2 victory against Cardiff City on Halloween.

This evening, Mark Warburton's men host a Rotherham side that have taken just five points on the road all season and, in his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton has indicated that the hosts will win 1-0 to claim their third Championship victory at the KPF in 2020/21.

That result could see Rangers climb into the top half of the table, should results elsewhere go their way, while the Millers are likely to drop further toward the relegation zone.

After returning from injury on the weekend, Bright Osayi-Samuel is expected to start again this evening but Rob Dickie, George Thomas, and Luke Amos are all likely to be missing.

Paul Warne's options are understood to be more limited by injuries, with Joe Mattock and Billy Jones doubtful, while Kieran Sadlier, Shaun MacDonald, Chiedozie Ogbene, and Clark Robertson are all unavailable.

Did these 17 QPR players ever actually score a league goal for the club?

The Verdict

There's no doubt that Warne will be the happier of the two managers with the way this season has started, with his newly-promoted Rotherham side clear of the relegation zone at the moment, but Warburton has to be eyeing this game as a chance to get back to winning ways.

Prutton is predicting a tight contest but a victory for Rangers would be a huge confidence boost heading into the west London derby on Saturday and if Osayi-Samuel is back at his sparkling best then he could be the difference-maker for the hosts.

Rotherham are not a side to be underestimated, however, and if the R's are off their game then the Millers could certainly come away with all three points.
