David Prutton is expecting Aston Villa’s fine form to continue in the Sky Bet Championship this week, when they face Queens Park Rangers in Tuesday’s rearranged fixture.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky Sports, Prutton has predicted Steve Bruce’s side to pick up a 2-0 victory at Villa Park tomorrow evening, to record their fourth consecutive victory.

Bruce’s Villa side enter the contest in fine form, having picked up three consecutive victories to maintain a place in the race for the top-two.

Villa were extremely impressive on Saturday evening, recording a 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have topped the table for some weeks now.

Goals from Albert Adomah, James Chester, Lewis Grabban and Birkir Bjarnason secured the points for Bruce’s side, who now face QPR in a fixture that was the victim of bad weather last weekend.

QPR enter the fixture in mid-table, but will be confident following Saturday afternoon’s victory over Sunderland.

Ian Holloway’s side hadn’t picked up three points since mid-February, but punished Sunderland and pushed the Black Cats into deeper relegation trouble at Lotus Road.

The Verdict

Of course, QPR will be looking to cause an upset, but it is hard to see past an Aston Villa victory tomorrow.

Bruce’s side will be full of confidence after demolishing Wolves and should breeze past QPR, on paper.

It is hard to not agree with Prutton here.
