David Prutton is expecting Cardiff City and Leeds United to play out an entertaining draw in the Welsh capital when they meet this evening, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted Leeds to pick up a valuable point against Cardiff, holding Neil Warnock’s side to a 2-2 draw.

Cardiff are currently third in the Sky Bet Championship table, level on 20 points with Leeds, who are currently leading the way.

Warnock’s side are entering the contest having returned to winning ways over the weekend, with the Bluebirds recording a 2-1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, ending a three match winless streak.

Both Cardiff and Leeds have lost on just one occasion in the Championship so far this season, with Thomas Christiansen’s side bouncing back from their defeat to Millwall two weeks ago, against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Goals from Pierre-Michel Lasogga, his third in five appearances, and Kalvin Phillips set Leeds on their way, before Ipswich goalkeeper, Bartosz Bialkowski, spilled a Pablo Hernandez corner into his own net to give the Whites the decisive goal in a 3-2 victory.

Prutton is expecting Lasogga to continue his excellent goalscoring form, by opening the scoring against Cardiff tonight.

The Verdict

Prutton is expecting goals in Cardiff tonight, but we can expect a nervy encounter as two of the Championship’s early season leaders go head-to-head in Wales.

Leeds travel to Cardiff on the back of an important win against Ipswich, and most at Elland Road would be happy to see Christiansen and his men come back to Yorkshire with a point this evening.

Warnock, who is coming up against one of his former clubs, will have his troops fired up for tonight, with the fixture certainly Leeds’ toughest test so far under Christiansen.
