David Prutton is expecting Norwich City’s wait for a first Sky Bet Championship victory to continue this evening, when they welcome Queens Park Rangers to Carrow Road, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton admitted he was expecting QPR to spring a surprise by defeating Norwich 2-1, continuing their excellent start to the 2017/18 campaign.

Ian Holloway’s side have picked up four-points from their opening two Championship fixtures, which have come against two of last season’s top-six.

QPR picked up a 2-0 victory against Reading on the opening day of the season at Loftus Road, before heading to Hillsborough for their second fixture of the campaign, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

Prutton praised QPR’s performance away from home against the Owls, revealing that he is expecting them to have more good fortune on the road, when they face Norwich at Carrow Road this evening.

In comparison to QPR’s fantastic start, Norwich have struggled, picking up just a point from their opening two fixtures.

Daniel Farke will have been pleased with his side’s effort against Fulham on the opening day of the season, where the Canaries managed to claim a point at Craven Cottage.

But the German will have been left frustrated by Norwich’s performance on Sunday, when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Sunderland at Carrow Road.

The Verdict

This is a big prediction form Prutton, with many expecting Norwich to bounce back following Sunday’s disappointing performance against Sunderland, where the Black Cats proved to be just too strong for Farke’s side.

Norwich face a tough test of character this evening against QPR, who will be full of confidence after a strong start to the campaign against two of the Championship’s better sides.

You would expect Norwich to bounce back from Sunday’s disappointment and put in an improved display, but Farke’s side will find it difficult against a confident QPR.
