Huddersfield Town were on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline on Wednesday night as Cardiff City ran out comfortable winners.

The Terriers play some nice stuff but have at times been a little caught out by that playing style and that, in fact, was part of the problem against the Bluebirds who seized on mistakes from Town.

Indeed, EFL on Quest pundit Stephen Warnock was critical of their ball-playing approach, telling the highlight show as much last night as he reflected on the game.

He said, as transcribed by Yorkshire Live:

"This time it's Naby Sarr who is caught out on the ball.

"You just think 'why are you putting defenders under that pressure, why do you want them to play from the back?'."

The Verdict

This will always be the risk you run when playing out from the back but, at the same time, it is the modern way of playing and so many want to go about their game with this style.

Corberan and his side are still working on things together so these mistakes are going to happen.

You can see where Warnock is coming from but Huddersfield brought in Corberan because, in part, they liked his style of play so you can be sure they'll be sticking with this approach despite last night's loss.

When Huddersfield click, they're a very good team to watch and it's more about finding consistency with that than ripping up their game-plan.
