David Prutton is expecting Fulham’s wait for a victory in the Sky Bet Championship to continue, when they travel to Leeds United this evening, reports Sky Sports.
Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted Fulham to play out a third consecutive draw against Leeds, with the contest finishing 1-1.
Last season, Fulham and Leeds went up against each other in the quest for play-off football, and both their meetings last season ended a 1-1 draw, as the Cottagers eventually edged out their rivals in the race for the top-six.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have started the 2017/18 campaign slowly with back-to-back 1-1 draws against Norwich City and Reading – the latter turned out to be a well earned point, having played the majority of the game with 10 men, following Tomas Kalas’ red-card.
Fulham will be hoping that Tom Cairney returns to action for the trip to Elland Road, where Jokanovic’s side will face an upbeat Leeds side.
Thomas Christiansen’s men have picked up four-points from their opening two fixtures, against Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End.
Following a 3-2 victory over Bolton on the opening day of the season, Leeds were left frustrated over the weekend, as Preston held them to a 0-0 draw, despite playing over 30 minutes with 10 men.
Fulham’s start to the Championship season has been a lot more difficult than Leeds’ start, and Jokanovic will be pleased to see his side come out unbeaten from their opening two fixtures.
Fulham’s trip to Elland Road will give Leeds their biggest test of the season so far, and we will learn a lot about Christiansen’s side on Tuesday evening.
Leeds’ 0-0 draw with Preston was disappointing, and if they want anything out of the clash with Fulham, they will have to significantly improve.
