David Prutton expects Huddersfield Town to close the gap on the automatic promotion places this evening by defeating Bristol City at Ashton Gate, reports Sky Sports.
Writing in his prediction column, the pundit believes David Wagner’s side will be comfortable 2-0 winners over the Sky Bet Championship strugglers.
Wagner’s side are looking for their third consecutive victory, and Prutton believes they still have a chance of making the top-two, he said: “We have seen how powerful Huddersfield have been all season and they have closed the gap on the top two. They have an outside chance of making up the ground.”
Victory for the Terriers will see them move within three points of Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion, ahead of their respective clashes with Birmingham and Leeds on Saturday.
Prutton believes Lee Johnson’s City side will struggle against a high-flying Huddersfield side, deepening their relegation fears.
The Robins are currently 22nd in the Championship, occupying the final relegation place, and are trailing Blackburn Rovers by just one point with nine fixtures of the season remaining.
