David Prutton is expecting Cardiff City to maintain their 100% start to the Sky Bet Championship season this weekend when they face Queens Park Rangers, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky, Prutton has predicted that Neil Warnock’s side will scrape past QPR at the Cardiff City Stadium, beating the Londoners 2-1.

Cardiff are one of two clubs currently with four victories from four fixtures in the Championship, with Warnock’s side surprising many with their early season form.

Last weekend Cardiff overcame their most difficult test, ending Wolves’ 100% start to the season, defeating them 2-1 at Molineux.

This week Warnock’s side will face a different test, against QPR – one of Warnock’s many former clubs.

QPR have had a reasonable start to the season, with Ian Holloway’s side picking up seven-points and currently occupying a place in the Championship’s top-six.

Last weekend, goals from Matt Smith and Idrissa Sylla helped QPR to a 2-1 victory over Hull City.

However, Holloway’s side could not back that performance up during the week, with Brentford handing QPR a heavy defeat in the Carabao Cup.

Brentford ran out 4-1 winners against a depleted QPR, who missed out on a third-round clash with Norwich City.

The Verdict

Cardiff’s form has been so impressive that it is hard to look past them heading into this weekend, with the general feel that Warnock’s side will make it five from five.

However, QPR will be disappointed by their Carabao Cup performance during the week, and Holloway’s side will be fired up and looking to put it right against Cardiff.

Whilst we are expecting Cardiff to run out eventual winners, QPR will offer them a stern test, with Holloway’s men surely set to be fired up.
