Stoke City and Cardiff City meet tomorrow night in a game that is bringing two in-form Championship sides together.

The hosts will go into the clash full of confidence, having picked up seven points from their last three games, including a win over fellow promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough on Saturday.

That win moved the Potters into fifth position, and just two points away from the automatic promotion places. However, won't find it easy against a Cardiff side, who are seeking a fourth consecutive victory.

However, writing in his regular Sky Sports column, Prutton reckons Neil Harris' men will not continued their fine form, as he backed Stoke City to edge a tight game 2-1.

Having lost just twice at home all season, Stoke will start as slight favourites, and it's a fixture that they have historically done well in on their own turf.

A win over Cardiff earlier this year extended the Potters unbeaten run over the Welsh side at home, with the Bluebirds not picking up maximum points in Staffordshire since 2005.

Hughes? Pulis? Who was the Stoke City manager when each of these 15 Potters moments happened?

The verdict

This is going to be a very tight game, and there won't be many who will argue with Prutton in that it could be decided by a single goal.

Both sides are full of confidence having picked up impressive wins over Boro and Watford last time out.

So, it's an exciting clash and a whoever gets the points will be sending out a real message as they look to push for promotion in what is a very open Championship.
