Kevin Phillips has backed Grady Diangana, Filip Krovinovic and Callum Robinson to extend their loan deals at West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season.

The trio have all been influential signings for the Baggies this season and they will all be looking to help Albion get over the line in the race for automatic promotion this term.

Diangana has only featured twice in 2020 due to injury, but his effect on the team has been massive, with the West Ham United loanee scoring five goals and adding six assists.

Have West Brom done these 15 things in the last 10 years?

Krovinovic and Robinson, meanwhile, have been key players for the Baggies in the second half of the campaign, scoring vital goals to help Slaven Bilic's side maintain their promotion push.

Of course, it remains to be seen how the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign is played out, if at all, and it remains to be seen whether the final nine games of the season are to be played.

It is likely that the season will run into July should EFL action resume, meaning that the loan players will be out of contract at the Hawthorns with their deals running out in late June.

But speaking to West Brom News, Kevin Phillips has backed Diangana, Krovinovic and Robinson to put pen to paper on extended deals at the Hawthorns.

He said: "Yes, I would have thought they’d sign short-term deals,” Phillips told West Brom News. “I think they will want to stay to get the job done and see it through.

"I’d imagine they’d want to be a part of something very special and, of course, that’s promotion.

"I don’t expect any hiccups and those boys will put pen to paper and it’s good that they can do that because when we do start, they’ll have a full squad to pick from."

The Verdict

It would be a real boost if Albion were to ensure that the trio were to extend their stays at the Hawthorns for the final run-in.

It would be a huge blow if the Baggies were to somehow lose the three of them before the season ended - they only sit six points clear of third and cannot afford to slip up.

Bilic's recruitment has been second to none this season, and all three players have been so integral in their own way.
