With a play-off spot in the bag, Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis will turn his attentions to overcoming the final three games of the season which will determine where the Teessiders play their football next season.

The former Stoke City manager must be applauded for the work he has done in the north east since taking over from Garry Monk after Christmas, guiding the stuttering side into the top-six and on course for an instant Premier League return following their relegation last year after just a single season in the top flight.

The play-offs will be difficult, but if Pulis can navigate the end of season lottery then he will spend the summer preparing for a return to the big leagues.

The Welshman must ensure he implements these three policies to keep his side afloat next term…
