West Bromwich Albion are interested in the services of Luke Freeman from Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers.

According to the Daily Mirror (July 29, liveblog entry 21:35), West Brom are interested in signing Freeman from QPR, with Sheffield United and Middlesbrough also interested.

The Baggies sold James McClean to Stoke earlier in the window and will be looking for a replacement for the winger.

Freeman made 12 assists last season and scored five goals in a successful season personally, despite QPR’s form during an inconsistent campaign.

Darren Moore is recruiting well at the Hawthorns with the loan signing of Harvey Barnes from neighbours Leicester City.

And the Baggies’ boss has expressed his interested in making a move for the former Bristol City man.

If West Bromwich Albion were able to beat the reported interested from Sheffield United and Middlesbrough and secure the signing go the Queens Park Rangers man, would it be a good signing?

We discuss…

Jay Williams

West Brom need players with Championship experience to help their promotion push and Freeman has this in abundance.

Playing anywhere in midfield, the 26-year-old is entering the prime of his career now and he can offer goals and assists for the Baggies.

Freeman is a proven talent at this level and West Brom could help take his career further.

George Dagless

I think so.

West Brom have largely looked at improving their defence this summer so signing an attacker or two now is a good idea.

I think he'd be a welcome boost.

Sam Rourke

A superb signing.

The QPR star is a fantastic attacking midfielder in the second tier and would be a great acquisition for any EFL side.

Freeman would add creativity and dynamism to the Baggies.

Louie Chandler

He would be another wise signing from Darren Moore.

He might not be a guaranteed starter at the Hawthorns but would make the Baggies' squad incredibly strong.
