West Brom have appointed Graeme Jones as the club's assistant manager ahead of the new Championship season.

Despite appointing Darren Moore as the new Baggies boss on a permanent basis back in May, the fan favourite was patient in adding to his backroom team.

And, the club confirmed that Jones had left a similar role with the Belgian national team to be Moore's number two at The Hawthorns.

The 48-year-old has developed a great reputation in the game, working with Roberto Martinez at Swansea, Wigan, Everton and Belgium, who just finished third in the World Cup.

Yet, Moore managed to persuade him to the West Midlands, with the pair having a relationship that goes way back, having played together for Doncaster.

Jones will now link up with the squad ahead of Saturday's game against Bolton.

Unsurprisingly, this went down well with fans who were delighted to see the respected coach come in to help Moore in his first managerial role.
