Leeds United saw themselves knocked off of top spot over the weekend just gone but they can still get that place back if things stay on track for them.

A game in hand means they remain in the driving seat as we head towards the business end of the campaign and Marcelo Bielsa will know just how close he is to being a Leeds legend.

First, though, the players and he must deliver week in week out until May and Barry Douglas' experience is bound to come in handy.

A title winner with Wolves just last season, he'll know what qualities you need to get promoted and it looks as though he's content with the Leeds dressing room right now.

As quoted by the Birmingham Mail, he said:

“The spirit we’ve got with the boys in the dressing room is something that you rarely come by in your career.

“So it’s a special time and hopefully we can create special memories.”

A special dressing room identified by a man who only left one last season, the omens continue to bode well for the Whites.

The Verdict

Douglas is a top player on form and has shown flashes of that this season - with injuries frustrating at times.

However the spirit at Elland Road looks back right now, and that could well be the thing that gets them over the line.
